2024 Speaker Details: Join United Way of the Concho Valley and the CEO/President of United Ways of Texas Roxanne Jones as we introduce ALICE to the Concho Valley and learn how to make an impact to their lives.

Asset Limited Income Constrained Employed

We all know people who are ALICE; ALICE workers educate our children, keep us healthy, and make our quality of life possible, yet do not earn enough to support their own families. ALICE represents the growing number of individuals and families who are working, but are unable to afford the basic necessities of housing, food, child care, health care, and transportation. We see ALICE every day – hard workers who keep the Texas economy running. They are our friends, family, and people we rely on every day. Yet they aren’t always sure that they can put food on their own tables or gas in their cars. 38% of households in the Concho Valley are ALICE or living in poverty.

At United Way, we understand the importance of strong and healthy communities. That’s why we are working to help ALICE meet basic needs and create a pathway to a successful future.
