Community Partner Funding Review

At United Way, we are committed to transparency and accountability. We want you to feel comfortable that your gifts to United Way are being invested wisely and that they result in measurable outcomes that are transforming lives in the Concho Valley. Our annual review processes are critical to keeping that commitment.

Community Partners submit an application that includes program information and outcomes, year-to-date financials, and their most recent audit and 990. Volunteers work in a team of 3-5 individuals and review the submitted information and attend a site visit. Volunteers work as a team to make a recommendation of funding to the United Way Community Impact Council. United Way funding is 100% determined by community volunteers.

Our annual Community Partner Funding process is an opportunity for you to see the full impact of how donations to United Way are used. Through the volunteer process, you will be trained and equipped to determine the effectiveness of United Way funded programs. Following this training and together with a team, you will have the opportunity to visit an agency and review documents submitted by our Community Partners. From your training and the information you have received, you and your team will make recommendations to the agencies and United Way about how to improve and grow programs.
